Personal Protective Equipment!

All entrants must have their;

  • Approved race helmet ( Aus/Nz sticker must be displayed or safety lable etc)
  • Spinal/back protector ( in working order no damage on straps/hard shell area )
  • Aus approved PFD or race approved PFD (IJSBA approved eg; Jett tribe PFD's)
  • Enclosed footwear (shoes or water booties, no barefoot riders)

**All the above PPE must be presented at PWC scrutineering, checked and ticked off with the AJSBA Scrutineering form, failure to do so means that your PWC will not receive " safety inspetion" sticker and you will not be able to participate in any training/race events.**
 

**Please organise your own safety gear as we do not reccomened and encourage riders borrowing others PPE during any of our events.**

 

SAFETY REGULATIONS FOR HELMETS

  1. The ones who have all matte/jett black helmets, we will be putting high vis tape on them prior to you entering the water. 
  2. Helmets must be of at least 50% high visibilty colour, ie, Yellow, orange, green, red etc as well as fluoro colours are even better.
  3. Helmets must present Aus/Nz stickers or safety lable etc
  4. Helmet straps and lock mechanism be in working order.

You have been warned, this is a safety thing.

**NO downhill Mountain bike helmets, your PPE must be up to recent standards, be in a working and appropriate condition.**

 

A reminder to Victorian riders you are not required to carry a waterproof torch during the event (as required on all Victorian waterways) as we have the exemptions for all participating PWCs not to carry them during the weekend of the event.

***We suggest you still have it with you(leave it in the car) just not required in your PWC.**
